Charter Fishing in the San Juans
and on Orcas Island

Outer Island Expeditions offers bottom fishing charters throughout the San Juan Islands. We fish for Ling Cod, Rock Fish, Halibut, Cabezon, Flounder, Greenling, and many other species. We also love to go after Dungeness and Red Rock Crab. During the early spring we will drop some pots for pink and spot shrimp.

We have great success rates, averaging about six fish per hour with four poles in the water. We welcome both avid fishermen and beginners. Kids are always welcome. We have fishing trips leaving port everyday of the year, so us give a call if you feel like dropping a line. We’ll tell you what’s legal, what’s biting, and when the best tides are for your schedule.

Our Vessels are moored in Eastsound on Orcas Island. So you can stay on Orcas Island and go fishing or skip the ferry ride and let us pick you up. You can start your fishing trip in Bellingham, Blaine, Anacortes, or any of The San Juan Islands such as Lopez Island or San Juan Island. The San Juan Islands are one of the most beautiful fishing destinations in Washington.

Call for information on what fish we can keep and what fish we have to release. For a portion of the season we mainly do catch and release fishing. Crabbing Season is July 15th to September 30th. Shrimp Season is in May. Ling Cod Season is May 1st to June 15th.

Whale watching can be combined with a fishing trip for ultimate Orcas Island adventure!

We charge by the hour for all our fishing trips not by the person. We offer trips for 1 person on up to 40 people. We have 23 ft boats that hold up to 6 people or 30 ft boats that hold up to 12.
