Nuestros recorridos duran de tres a cuatro horas y salimos de mayo a septiembre en busca de orcas, ballenas jorobadas, ballenas minke y ballenas grises. Observamos ballenas en más del 95% de nuestros viajes. Los mejores avistamientos de Orca son en junio, julio, agosto y septiembre. Las jorobadas y los visones son posibles en primavera, verano y otoño, y los grises son posibles en primavera y otoño.

Private Whale Watching: Orcas

The San Juan Islands are the best place in the world to consistently see wild Orca. Our thriving population of Bigg's Killer Whales can be seen all year throughout the region. A private whale watching charter allows you to focus all your time with Orca!

Private Charter Fishing: Salmon

Salmon charters are available from July to October as allowed by Washington State. During the summer we can get silver, king, and pink salmon. Although Salmon fishing is more hit and miss than bottom fishing, the pay off can be big but patience is necessary. For that reason it is not recommended for young children or for first time fishermen. Salmon charters are limited to a maximum of 6 per boat.

Tufted Puffin, Rhinoceros Auklet, Common Murre, Pigeon Guillemot, Black Oystercatcher, Harlequin Duck, Bald Eagle, Osprey, Peregrine Falcon, Great Blue Heron, Surfbirds, Brown Pelican, Horned & Eared Grebes, Pelagic, Brandt's and Double-crested Cormorants, Heerman's Gulls and many other species of gulls and shorebirds.

Rarer or more seasonal migrant species include: Horned Puffin, Marbled Murrelet, Ancient Murrelet, Red & Red-necked Phalaropes, Black & Ruddy Turnstones, Parasitic Jaeger, Sooty Shearwater, Manx Shearwater, Northern Fulmar, Boneparte's Gull, Common & Pacific Loons, many other possibilities including a variety of ducks and scoters.

Private Birdwatching: Horned Puffin

The only place you can consistently see Horned Puffins in the lower 48 is right here in the San Juan Islands! A lifer for many birders, these adorable puffins can be found among other feathered friends such as Tufted Puffins, Marbled and Ancient Murrelets, Rhinoceros Auklets, Common Murre, Black Oystercatchers, Bald Eagles, Harlequin Ducks, and many more pelagic and shorebird species.

Private Lighthouse Tour: Patos Island State Park

Patos Island Light Station is one of the most famous lighthouses in Washington, and can only be accessed by small boat. Managed by the Friends of Patos Light, there is a small interpretive center inside the lighthouse where docents educate the public about this historic site. Patos isn't alone when it comes to the San Juan Islands Lighthouses: you can also see Burrows Head, Cattle Point, Lime Kiln, Turn Point, and many more lighthouses in the region on a private lighthouse tour!

Private Charter Fishing: Halibut

The calm seas of spring and summer let us explore the edges of the continental shelf, including the remote reefs and banks where Halibut live.

Large Pacific Halibut, also called Barndoor Halibut, can tip the scales at 200 to 400 pounds! There are also many small fish, or Chicken Halibut, at 15 to 25 pounds. Although the fishery here is not as abundant as in Alaska, the quest for Halibut is a great experience for novice to experienced fishermen of all ages.
