Imagine your perfect expectations for a day of whale watching. The weather is sunny and warm with a gentle breeze, visibility is fantastic, you don't have to travel far off the dock before finding a whole lot of killer whales and - oh my! They're breaching and carrying on for hours, putting on a spectacular show!
Not likely! Better to come aboard and stay in the moment. These are wild animals who do what they want, when they want, where they want, so that fantasy and expectation is best left on the dock.
Except for today.

Today we only had to cruise for 20 minutes before we found orcas, and as they day progressed we ended up seeing four different matrilines. They were breaching, socializing and hunting over the next few hours and we got to enjoy their exuberant behaviors in the warm sunshine to our heart's content. We had the T124A2's, T124A4's, T036A's and T075B's. A great group of guests, good weather and active whales. It doesn't get any better than this!
